How To Apply

Step 1: Complete the Application Form
Complete the International Student Application Form available from the Institute Reception or download from our website http://techinstitute.vic.edu.au/student-life/forms
Ensure to complete all sections of the form including the declaration
Step 2: Lodge your completed Application Form together with all the copies of your supporting documents
The supporting documents you have to submit together with your application form are as follows:
Evidence of English Language Proficiency (must submit one of the following)
IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
Appropriate ELICOS/EAL Certificate
Year 12 qualification from level 1 countries as identified by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP)
Copy of the bio data page of your passport
Copy of Visa (if applicable)
Academic results (Year 10 and 12 or equivalent
Note: all relevant documents must be authenticated.

Step 3: Assessment of your Application
Upon receipt of your application documents, an authorised TIV Delegate will assess your application.
If in your application you have indicated that you are applying for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer (CT), you will be required to complete an RPL Application Form or a Credit Transfer Application Form. If your application is initially unsuccessful, you will be requested to provide further information to support your application. Submit the requested information or documents as soon as possible to avoid further delays. Step 4: Receiving the Letter of Offer/Student Agreement
If your application is successful you will be given a Letter of Offer and a Student Enrolment Agreement.Instructions on how to accept your offer are provided in the offer package.
Read the Letter of Offer and the Student Agreement. If you agree to the terms and conditions, sign the document and organise the required initial payment.

Return the said documents together with the proof of payment.
Step 5: Issuing the Electronic confirmation of enrolment
Once payment has been confirmed and all required documents including the Overseas Student Health Cover are received by TIV, an Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) is processed by the Institute Authorised Delegate.
The copy of COE is sent to you and/or your Education Agent.
Step 6: Apply for your student visa (if applicable)
Upon receiving the eCoE inform your nearest Australian Embassy or contact your Agent to assist you. If you do not have an Agent, we may be able to assist you by referring you to one of our listed Agents. Our Agents List is available on our website www.techinstitute.vic.edu.au .
Carefully check the visa requirements for your course which will depend upon your country assessment level and visa-subclass which is available from Australian immigration website www.immi.gov.au .
